The China Association for Science and Technology collaborated with the Shandong Provincial Government to host the 2025 China Innovation Methods Competition (CIMC). In the final round, the innovation team from Xinghuo Group's Technology Center achieved the second prize with their project "Innovative Process for Reducing Silicon Slag Generation Based on TRIZ".

The silicon industry has long been constrained by high silicon slag output and difficult treatment processes. Xinghuo’s award-winning project departed from traditional trial-and-error methods by applying internationally advanced innovation methods, such as TRIZ theory, to perform an in-depth root cause analysis.

The application of core TRIZ tools, including contradiction matrix, substance-field model, and invention principles, achieved precise definition of the fundamental contradictions within the technical system, developed breakthrough solutions, and demonstrated significant advantages in both cost efficiency and environmental protection.

Judges recognized the project as an exemplary model of perfect integration between innovation methodology and engineering practice. They noted that it not only resolved practical technical challenges but also demonstrated a complete systematic innovation process applying scientific methods, which provided a valuable reference for scientific and technical professionals.

The national competition, CIMC, aims to strengthen enterprises' autonomy in technological innovation, and mobilize professionals to advance sci-tech development. Among the four teams representing Jiangxi Province, Xinghuo Group's innovation team secured their second national finals award after previously winning second prize in 2021, maintaining their consistent performance over eight consecutive years of participation. Through this competition, Xinghuo Group validated its achievements in innovation and exchanged knowledge with top domestic innovation teams, gaining valuable insights to further enhance their capabilities.
